I’ve been teaching women and men to steam their pelvic flours since 2015. The art and wellness practice its-self is several 100’s if not 1000’s of years old and seems to be mainly a woman’s business practice but men can certainly steam. It’s an ancient practice that would have been passed down orally from woman to woman, as it was about woman’s private parts and personal wellness. For myself steaming has become a part of life and not something I would want to live without. It helps me sleep and relax when feeling overwhelmed and stressed and yes, I do believe it aids my menstrual health.
Though none of the below wellness claims are scientifically proven yet, steaming is used by clinicians (Arvigo Therapy® practitioners to name a few) and ancient practice healers around the world. Here is a short list of what vaginal steaming is considered helpful for:
Here is a short video on how to set up a steam chair for personal use only: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnNjuLcT_w8&feature=youtu.be In New Zealand, I’ve presented on pelvic steaming at the Luminate Festival, Prana (no longer happening) and as private clinic workshops in and around Wellington, City. I’ve also presented on pelvic steaming in the United States and in Australia. If you’d like to know more about how to set up a steam, safety, a list of safe plants and herbs to use, and when you might steam, you can order my ebook here on sale until the end of April to celebrate this ebook launch!
